There are openings for breastfeeding and skin to skin as well as in the back. My wife currently wears a maternity large and opted for the Large/X Large size. It’s fits her fine and doesn’t feel restrictive at all around the chest or belly. She is 5’6 and the hem of the gown stops under the knee. This is a great product for the price!

I really wanted to like this gown as it was a decent price for a possibly one time use for labor & delivery. However, when I received the item, the button snaps were not correctly sewn in exposing the sharp metals. Some buttons came apart when I opened up the sleeves as well. There was also a hole near the collar. The fabric was okay for its price. I returned the gown as exposing sharp metal parts was a big no no for me as I planned to nurse in it as well.
